When the Innoko National Wildlife Refuge was established a plan was created with input from the public to guide management of the refuge. This plan was published in 1987 and is currently only in a print format. For specific information of this plan contact the refuge manager.
Congress passed the National Wildlife Refuge System Improvement Act of 1997 (Public Law 105-57) which called for Comprehensive Conservation Plans to be completed for all refuges. The entire National Wildlife Refuge System is undergoing a revision of the Comprehensive Conservation Plans for all national wildlife refuges. These are required to be completed by the year 2015. The Innoko National Wildlife Refuge staff will be revising their Comprehensive Conservation Plan with in the next five years with input from the public.
